Varifocals can be ordered, there are 2 ways in which this can be done.
If you are an existing wearer and have an old pair of your glasses with varifocal lenses already in you can send them to us (doesn't matter how old they are) for us to duplicate the fitting position (optical centres & heights) or if you don't have a spare pair or are a first time wearer please contact us with the frame you would like, we then send it to you with dummy lenses in and require a photo taken (instructions are sent with this) of you wearing the frame, then we can calculate the required measurements from this.
A normal corridor Varifocal requires a minimum depth of 28/29mm. A short corridor Varifocal requires a minimum depth of 24/25mm. Into a full or supra (semi-rimmed) frame we can supply a budget hard coated normal corridor Varifocal for £50 + , the short corridor is £65 + . We also supply Essilor hard coated Varifocal, normal corridor £80 + frame or short corridor £110 + frame. Into a rimless frame we use 1.59 polycarbonate hard coated Varifocal (at least 12 times stronger than standard plastic lenses). Our budget range normal corridor Varifocals is £80 + frame or the short corridor Varifocals is £90 + frame. We also supply Essilor 1.59 polycarbonate normal corridor Varifocals £110 + frame or short corridor Varifocals £125 + frame. Our Transition Varifocals are from £90 + frame. We can also supply Essilor Varifocals with an anti-reflection coating (not available on Budget lenses)
